35th Anniversary

On the 4th November our Company will celebrate 35 successful years in business. It’s hard to believe what the business has become; employment for more than 130 team members, a major contributor to the Manx Exchequer, one of the Isle of Man Steam Packets’ largest customers and a vital link to businesses, utilities and probably every single individual on the Island.

From small beginnings when we only had three staff and a handful of vehicles we now operate more than 60 vehicles and 100 trailers. We carry diverse cargoes such as tankers carrying bulk powders and liquids, tipping trailers carrying grain, coal, sand and recyclables, low loaders carrying machinery and plant and of course our everyday curtain sided trailers and flat beds moving parcels and general freight. As well as this traffic we also provide specialist services to major High Street retailers that include home delivery and installation.

Our success is due to our loyal customers who put their faith in our efforts and abilities and give us repeat business, that is only achieved by providing customer satisfaction.

Was it easy to achieve all this? of course not but it has been extremely satisfying and every day brings new challenges. This year has brought more challenges than normal due to the Covid19 crisis and throughout the lockdown period our staff have carried on with their duties with many delivery drivers effectively on the “front line” as they work directly in the community. Despite these difficulties, the challenges have been met by our hard working team members who strive to reach their daily targets and we acknowledge and appreciate that the foundation of our success is due to the commitment and enthusiasm of each and every one of them.
