#35 Human body - The Expensive Machine

• Do you know? Every second, our body produces 25 million new cells, which means in 15 seconds, we will have produced more cells than there are people in the United States.
• Do you know? We need four kinds of muscles that are constantly working to keep our head straight alone.
• Do you know? Our bones are stronger than steel. A block of a bone, the size of a matchbox can support up to 8000 kilos of weight.

If our bodies were machines, they were the expensive machines ever created in human history. Yet, we take our bodies for granted. We dump our bodies with junk foods. We fail to use the powerful muscles we have as a result of which they lose their power. We consume toxic chemicals as a means to satisfy our taste buds.

Will any fool do these kinds of things? Yes, we humans do. We treat our bodies as mean as possible. Even our enemies get better attention than we give it to our bodies.

I don't have to say what we've to do to take care of our bodies. We all know what we've to do. But are we willing to sacrifice our instant gratification?

This article is not to blame you but instead to wake you up from your dream. Let's treat our bodies with respect they deserve to have. Our bodies give too much for us. It is time to pay back the debt.
