BREAKING: Supreme Court Overturns 340B Hospital Pay Cut

What does the Supreme Court's decision mean for?#hospitals, #pharma and #marketaccess?

“What may be most important is that the Supreme Court seems to be willing to weigh in on rulemaking by HHS, and other unresolved issues regarding 340B contracting,” says Valuate’s?John Hennessy. “That may have greater impact for the recent trend of manufacturers not offering 340B discounts to contract pharmacies. It will certainly emboldened hospitals to challenge these rulings and independent actions of manufacturers.”

Keep in mind: “I think the repayment only affects 2018 and 2019,” says Hennessy. “Depending on how different hospitals accounted for this there may be a stack of cash coming or they may have already planned for this money to be paid eventually.”
