34-year-old Angelika Jürgens from Germany is the new Director of Business Development at Landmeco

With the appointment of 34-year-old Angelika Jürgens, Landmeco has strengthened the team that together will help take Landmeco to an even higher level.

Angelika Jürgens was born in the area around Emsland, and when she turned 16 years, her family started eggproduction. It was also through the family farm that she learnt about Landmeco 16 years ago.

“When my parents built a second house, it was built with Landmeco systems. So before I got the job, I actually had a good knowledge of Landmeco,” says Angelika Jürgens.

At university, she went on to earn a Master of Agriculture, and with that degree she got a job with a large German company in the poultry sector.

She spent seven years as a production manager responsible for various facilities. The company had their own circle with parentsstock, hatchery, pullet and layer farms.

After that, she spent two years as system manager responsible for the systems for cage-free production, also in a German company.

“My role encompassed a wide range of responsibilities, including conducting market analysis to identify trends early on. This allowed us to develop new products tailored to meet market demands. Preparing a company for the future is an exciting and multifaceted task,” says Angelika Jürgens.

When she was offered a job at Landmeco, she had no hesitation in accepting.

“Landmeco is a smaller, well-established company in the poultry sector. And I like being in a place where everyone knows each other. One of the most important things is that Landmeco develops, produces and sells the systems itself, because I like being in a place where everything is under one roof.”

Angelika Jürgens first impression is, that everyone at Landmeco has the same attitude as her regarding cage-free.

“I'm convinced that cage-free are both the future and my future,” she says.

At Landmeco, she will be Director of Business Development, a newly created position. Among her many tasks will be responsibility for the development of Landmeco's products, when it comes to cage-free.

“Landmeco’s success speaks to the quality of our products and the strength of the team behind it. I am proud to be part of this team and excited to collaborate in driving our success even further,” she explains.

“But of course my job will involve a lot of travelling, and I will definitely be in Denmark and ?lgod more than I have been before.”
