# 33 Result-oriented vs Process-oriented

Different kinds of people approach the problem in different ways. Some people are result-oriented and process-oriented.

Result-oriented people focus on the end goal as their success point. Let's say you want to make a million dollars. They feel fulfilled only after attaining the million dollars (to the least, they think they'll be fulfilled usually they won't)

Process-oriented people focus on the process instead of the end goal. Their goal might be the same as attaining million dollars. But their fulfilment lies not on the end goal but on the process itself. They enjoy the process more than the results they attain.

Blah!! Blah!! Blah!! Yeah, I know I'm boring you with definitions.

The success you get at the end of your goal doesn't last very long. It gets vanished so easily. But when you start enjoying the process, you no longer have to worry about success or failure. Both are the same for you.

The reason I still able to write articles for the 33rd week definitely not the success I earned. (I never earned success though, once my post reached 3.5 lakh views which are a beginner's luck.) But because I enjoy the process. It doesn't mean they are no hard days for me. It doesn't mean finding content is easy for me. But because I fight for a purpose greater than myself, which gives me strength, and I love the process no matter how hard it gets.

Yes, it is tough to be process-oriented. I agree. But if you tried hard enough, you can find inspiration within yourself to enjoy the process. With that, you don't have to wait for an imaginary deadline to live a fulfilled life.

There will be no jealousy, anxiety, and violence if we just learned to be process-oriented.
