3,2,1 Lift Off - Entrepreneur Success!
OK, so yesterday was the first official day of the Entrepreneur Success Academy, with our first Group Board Meeting.
Benjamin Owen, George Waring, and I make up the Leadership Team of Fast Way to Fitness. We sat down with our advisory board to critically analyse our past performance and strategic plan for the future of our company to ensure that we are making the best decisions for all of our stakeholders, most importantly our customers and our team.
In the afternoon, we supported another one of our other Mastermind members with her amazing lead gen business, giving her our 100% focus and attention to help her navigate the challenging oceans of business success.
Being a business owner can be a lonely journey, and if you are anything like me, you had no formal business training.
I attended the hard knocks school of business, it was tough, at times I just wanted a job.
But the only job I had was at university, working at Fat Face for a few months one summer and in a bar selling absinthe.
I have lost countless businesses; I have had HMRC investigations; ï¿¡350k personal guarantees left hanging around our necks, having been defrauded out of significant sums over a period of 4 years from someone my kids used to call Uncle...
I always tried to see the positive in other people at the demise of my own health and wellbeing, which I believe was a significant cause of my cancer.
Working on myself initially physically detoxifying my body, my life, removing the people where I had a value mismatch, switching industries was the initial phase of my healing.
Once I had mastered this, I then started to work on my mental, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing.
This by far has been the biggest part of my healing journey. Some may put this in one box, mindset. For me it was a big box ??
Anyway I digress....
The purpose of the Mastermind is the same principle as having wing mirrors on a car. Without them, driving a car can be extremely dangerous.
Our advisory board members are the wing mirrors, holding us accountable and supporting us to make the right decisions, and helping us see things we can't.
