In the relentless onslaught of challenges, realizing the impossibility of engaging in every battle is crucial. Discernment is the key – identifying true adversaries and acknowledging that not everything merits a response. We should ask ourselves, “Which is worth waging war upon.”
And even this is not enough because most conflicts in our lives are not our making. An unknown war comes knocking on our doorstep just about every day. And if you’re unprepared, you can be a victim; if you don't get involved, you’re collateral damage. Ownership is the remedy.
Choosing your battles is both an action and a mindset. As the latter, this means ownership even with the firefights they start. They started it; now you choose to own it. There’s going to be hell to pay once you’re done. By owning the war, it's not a matter of win or loss,?
