Introduction
Today, on the "People Skills" newsletter, we're delving into our collection of Trainers' Resources slides.
This collection is a treasure chest of material for those of you who run workshops and consists of 78 PowerPoints on Icebreakers, Workshop Games, and Stories that Coach.
Today, we've chosen what we believe are the best humorous icebreakers for your workshop.
So, without further ado, here they are...
01. All Hell Breaks Loose
This icebreaker is a great way to re-energise a sluggish group by doing lots of simultaneous activity.
02. Solemn Face
This icebreaker gets trainees to try to keep a straight face.
03. Snowball Fight
This icebreaker gets everyone to write down their current personal challenges on paper and then use them in a "snowball" fight.
04. Are You Awake Yet?
This icebreaker gets teams to design and draw a badge to represent their team.
05. Hot Categories
This icebreaker gets trainees to keep a beach ball in the air while being able to call out a category name.
06. The People Train
This icebreaker gets trainees to form a train with beach balls between them and get to their destination without losing any balls.
07. Comet Ball
This icebreaker gets team members to keep lots of beach balls in the air for 20 seconds.
08. Do You Like Your Neighbours?
This icebreaker gets trainees to try to move to a new seat and not be "out".
09. The Best Performer
This icebreaker gets trainees to mime to taped songs from famous singers.
10. Pop the Balloon

What Next?
If you've been running a workshop or course with any of our icebreakers, you'll now know which ones work best for you.
Of course, you don't only need to play them on a formal course.
Whenever at MTL we have a meeting, awayday, or informal get-together, we like to slip in one of these icebreakers at the beginning just to relax everyone and have some fun.
In total, we have 100 icebreaker slides in this collection.
You can download them freely from MTL or select a particular category such as "Working as a Team" or "Just for Laughs".
For the "Just for Laughs" icebreakers, you can view and download the full PowerPoint slides at this location: https://www.managetrainlearn.com/#/slide/3006
