311/365 A VILLAIN’S WORK IS NEVER DONE
Without the villain, there would be no hero. Imagine the Avengers without Thanos, Luke without Darth Vader, and Harry without Voldemort. A good narrative has a balance of growth and malevolence. Good and right are always relative; even villains think they're doing what’s best.
In this dance between the protagonist and antagonist, characters develop. In the movies, it's a straight line in the continuum of morality. But in real life, it's a spiderweb ethical nodes, which makes things more complicated. Now, Multiply every narrative by seven billion stories.
As the hero of your story, you are a villain in someone else’s.?
There will always be a tangent where you’re the villain in someone else’s life. And you know what? Let it be. Be the best damn villain you can be if, in the end, the antagonist always brings out the best character development in heroes, if it brings greatness to someone else.
Because as you play this role, your story arc has a villain. That person will bring out the best in you while you play the protagonist. It's not their job, but their presence does so. Villains and heroes are you simultaneously occurring. Be the best villain, but still within moral confines.
