# 31 Can you sit simply?

Just keep it real. You all may have thought I am stupid just by seeing the topic. You may also have thought, "Yes, of course, I can sit simply all day." But have you tried it? If you've tried it, you might not say it. For some people, handling their own emotions is the most difficult thing to do. So they try to escape those emotions.

The way to escape emotions is different for everyone based on how they grow up. It varies from social media to entertainment to money to job to girls to alcohol to drugs.
People's failure to deal with their own emotions is the reason for all the shit happening in and around the world. Jealousy, anger, cunningness, violence and so on are examples of shit.
You may not even know what is your problem until you sit alone and try to process it. That's why many spiritual leaders suggesting to meditate regularly. They know how they felt when they get rid of all of their toxic emotions.
Yes, I accept all those toxic emotions did came from a bad experience. But unless and until you deal with those experiences, you cannot experience peace completely. Let's say you have a friend who betrayed you. I understand how much pain it may bring to you. But if you can't forgive the person, you can't trust another person completely, not only that your resentments towards them gradually deteriorate your health.
If you manage to schedule time for yourself today, schedule a meeting with yourself. During the meeting, just try to be with your emotions. There are many practices you can follow like meditation, journaling or just sitting alone. Whatever works for you.
Start the practice today and try to make it a daily practice. I can promise you that you won't regret this decision ever. It's a precious gift you can give to yourself.
I won't miss even a day since I started mediation practice. Wherever I go, I schedule a part of the time for myself to process my emotions. I hope you follow this as well and get benefited from this practice.
