I was introduced to another legendary business leader Tarang Jain at a party, sometime in 2003. I have not met another business leader who could take faster decisions and follow them up.

He told me he wanted us to design some brochures for him. When we met at his factory in Aurangabad, he elaborated that he wanted one page brochure for each of his 12 or 15 factories (Plants). That was unexpected..but it was a done thing..

I suggested what if we unified all these plants under one brand, and had one marketing collateral for all of them. Like one brochure which could be 25 pages or more. Moreover this way each plant would come across as belonging to one group (entity), and we could add in history, values and many other softer aspects of communication. We could have one common language to present products and markets.

He heard the plan, took one moment and said 'Lets do it". This is how one of the largest Auto component groups "Varroc" in India came about. Its is the 2nd largest (auto component manufacturers) in India and does a revenue of 1.8 billion US dollars. We went on to work very closely on various communication objectives for many years.
