With 30th Store Opening, Candy POP Launches Business Franchise

Candy POP , a specialized retail chain selling selected sweets, snacks, and beverages, has opened its 30th store in Nida. It is the first store of the international chain to operate on a franchise basis. The company is currently seeking active investors for a new location in Kaunas, scheduled to open in the fall. Later on, the franchise is planned to expand beyond Lithuania.

"We have reached a stage of business maturity where we can accelerate growth with a new expansion model. Having set up 30 stores over 8 years, we have refined the most effective operational criteria: store size, inventory capacity, and staffing requirements. We offer investors a financial model we use ourselves, optimizing costs and ensuring a quick return on investment. Our aim is to make sure that investors get the itch to open more than one store,” says Dovydas Ju?kys , co-founder and CEO of Candy POP Group.

Proven Profitability

The company opened its first store in 2017, and since 2019, Candy POP has grown at least twice every year. The company, established in a seemingly unconventional retail segment, has ambitious international expansion plans. According to Dovydas Ju?kys, investors can expect higher returns than the typical average for other franchises.

"We are currently in the process of talking with potential franchise buyers for the remaining openings this year and mapping out the plan for next year. Our expansion geography is based on the current network distribution and efficiency, but we also welcome initiatives from investors – no one knows the market of their city better than the entrepreneurial people who live there. For instance, we might not have pursued Nida without local initiative, but upon evaluation, we recognized its potential,” Dovydas Ju?kys explains.

Business Success Requires More Than Economics

The anniversary Candy POP store in Nida was opened by the successful Neringa entrepreneur Andrius Emd?. According to the founder, all his projects are driven by excitement and inner passion, often overcoming any fears, logical arguments, or even economic principles.

"I wanted to bring something new and cool to Nida, and then Candy POP caught my attention – a successful, growing specialized retail chain founded by Lithuanians, offering globally popular treats from the USA, Asia, and other exotic regions. I thought it would be fantastic to have them in our resort. Discussions with the founders proceeded quickly, and within a few months, we agreed to open the first franchise store," recalls Andrius Emd?.

Investors Only Need to Set Up and Operate

Candy POP offers franchise buyers a chance to join a steadily growing, profitable business, with opportunities for international expansion, valuable know-how, and attentive assistance throughout the process – from choosing a suitable store location and setting it up to inventory selection, product supply, and daily operations support. The franchise owner only needs to invest and operate.?

"Investors will be responsible for setting up and running their store – everything happening inside the store. They won't have to worry about product supply, storage, transportation, and various technical processes at each stage – we handle and execute all of that," states Dovydas Ju?kys.

Candy POP ensures competitive purchasing prices, product supply, and storage for its franchise owners. "We usually import our products directly, avoiding intermediaries. The larger the network, the better the purchasing conditions. We also relieve franchisees of many technical burdens—customs clearance, product labeling, managing the deposit system. These are invisible details that can be done more quickly and smoothly centrally," says Dovydas Ju?kys.

Candy POP is the leading specialized retail chain in the Baltic States. The company is actively developing its e-commerce and wholesale business. The Group's turnover in 2022 was EUR 8.8 million. The company's range of products includes carefully selected sweets, snacks, and beverages, most of which come from the USA, Asia, and other exotic destinations sought after by customers in the Baltic region. Currently, Candy POP has a network of 30 stores, with 15 in Lithuania, 5 in Latvia, 6 in Estonia, and 4 in Poland.
