30 Years of Life ~ where will YOU be?

30 years ago in 1992,?this picture was taken and my life was rebooted. I started all over again.?You can compare it to my recent Christmas picture (post) after 30 years and living life full. What a difference time makes, IF we discover and focus on what really matters most! It's hard to believe sometimes. As I wrote in chapter 1 of Book2 "Raising Champions for Tomorrow,"?my life was on the very edge of death. I'M CELEBRATING LIFE because we walked out some very serious times together as a family going forward, but we have never given up.?

My vision to write this Broken Before Battle trilogy series about MMA Warriors has been life-changing as well. Eight years ago, I had a vision in the middle of an arena. I share those details in chapter 1 of Book1 "Changing Lives Outside the Octagon." I was given the Call to "...be the one to share their stories in a way that has never been told before!" One of my life dreams has been fulfilled through this process of becoming the author of this series four years later in June 2018.

I believe we were created to BE Champions in our own life. How about YOU?

Interviewing each fighter for this trilogy has been a continued example of determination, persistence, and the ability to overcome obstacles. They never give up. Win or lose, they just keep moving forward. Isn't that what a champion is? Websters dictionary says: "a person who fights or speaks for another person or in favor of a cause. The winner of first prize or first place in a competition, one showing superior skill or ability." First prize or first place can happen when we push through to new levels?daily?in our own lives. As parents or adults, we may not be champions in a sport, but we can certainly walk out the reality of standing with others. Don't give up fighting for your loved ones and others in your communities!

BOOK1:?Seth Baczynski?overcame dyslexia and drug abuse in his family to create a better life for many.?Phil Davis?fought the battle of dyslexia through his education and at Penn State later becoming a Bellator lightweight world champion in MMA.?Brendan Loughnane?grew up dreaming and never stopped training to become 2022 PFL featherweight champion of the world.?Danny Martinez?suffered through family drama with death of close friends and is a firefighter serving his community today.?Thom Ortiz?pushed through early loss of a sibling and coached many to greatness in wrestling at ASU.?Wilson Reis?traveled the world to gain his dream of success and is representing the USA in London this weekend.?Jansen Azarias?was treated severely as a child and now created a life-changing organization for children everywhere.?Roman Salazar?started life early as a father and fought through MMA now being a successful coach.

BOOK2:?Joanna Jedrzejczyk?came through determination and passion to become UFC strawweight champion and serves children who have cancer.?Orlando Jimenez?suffered trauma as a young boy to grow up and serve in the military, police force, and now works as an attorney.?Michael Chandler?was a small town 'no-name' boy who battled to become Bellator lightweight champion and still fights while mentoring others through his platform.?Rashad Evans?trampled through poverty to greatness as a UFC light heavyweight champion, and continues to stand for youth and others through community awareness.?Mike Brown?developed grit for wrestling through to UFC bantamweight champion and now coaches others to MMA success.?Derek Cruz?came through tough years as a kid to become a successful coach and management in business leadership.?Anika Howe?was bullied in school as a kid, stood up to them turning them into friends, and now leads a kitchen on a big campus as a full-time missionary.

The common link??They are all serving others THROUGH their tough times and that helps us all. I don't say this because it's easy. Our world is in a crazy need for people to take care of one another regardless of age, religion, status, work, or platform. I'm encouraging YOU to stay connected and work with others to strengthen your life and the lives of others. I've mentioned that I'm creating a 'Movement' ~ a Podcast of the series plus Network of amazing people to offer support and real life strategies for personal growth. Please join me in this journey, as big or little part as you want to be involved. You may be the hero someone needs to experience today, and you can also be the champion in your own day!?

Stay tuned for BOOK3 coming late this year about women in the sport of MMA and women in leadership. I'm in the process of planning the interviews and would LOVE TO HAVE YOUR INPUT! Please feel free?LEAVE ME A MESSAGE!
