30 million reasons why this week is going to be amazing.

30 million reasons why this week is going to be amazing.

Did you know that we’re leaders in the global race to bring the benefits of future mobility solutions to society? Cleaner, safer, self-driving technology developed in the UK will be a significant part of our future economy and this week we’ll pass a significant milestone on the journey to get there.

As you read this, groups of people are developing ideas which will make the difference between the UK being a player and a leader. That’s why as a nation we’re launching a competition with up to £30 million available to co-invest in infrastructure to test and develop the ideas which will drive our future.

The winners of the competition will be people like you and me who have a passion for their work and are driven to make a difference. It is both exciting and motivational to know that we have the brightest and best minds in the UK focused on the challenges ahead, supported by a collaborative approach between industry and government to ensure we’re ready to win.

Full details of the competition will be announced through Meridian Mobility, the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) and Innovate UK.

If you’d like to meet us, why not come and visit us at the Cheltenham Science Festival, we’re going to be in the Discover Zone with a range of things to see, touch and talk about.

It’s going to be an exciting week for all of us in the UK!
