30 January 1948: When Gandhi was assassinated……
It was one of the of the saddest and blandest days;
The day became droopy and gloomy.
There was utter chaos inside Naos;
When, the assailant barged into to torch Gandhi in toto.
There was a pal of gloom all over the country;
Citizens became harried and worried;
They ran helter skelter to cool their temper;
And, the country became unknowable and uncontrollable.
Mystery still shrouds what made ferocious assailant lay the gentle saint in Pyre;
Some say that the assailant was as thoughtful and rightful as the saint;
Some say that the assailant was opposed to casteism and racism;
So, wait and watch as the best is yet to come up and sum up.
Gandhi’s assassination became milestone in the country’s history;
His memories stills reverberate and vibrate in the minds of the citizens;
Albert Einstein is the only witness that claims not to have Gandhi again;
So, let us be united to pay the homage to the departed soul with waist bowed and eyes closed.
