30 Different ways to make your Remote Meetings Interesting and energetic.

(Each participant should not spend more than five minutes talking about it.)

Make up a funny limerick today and share it with others.

Tell a ‘belly laugh’ joke.

Be thoughtful of what you say or write to others. Consider their perspective.

Write down someone’s best qualities. Use that list to write a letter to them and then mail it. OR Make a page for each one participating in the meeting. Send all the pages to everyone. Participants are asked to write, anonymously, what they like appreciate about that person and send it to the Team Leader. In the next meeting or, before the next meeting, the Team leader then collates all the pages and sends the appropriate page/s to the concerned person. Ie what everyone has said about Mr. Jones will be sent to Mr. Jones only. Check out the reaction of everyone. Highly motivating game.

Greet others with curiosity and warmth.

Ask a senior about their favourite memory.

Tell someone how important they are to you.

Start a group at your office that works towards equity for everyone.

Talk to a colleague about something other than work.

Dance like chickens as a team to lighten the mood! Play the “Birdy” song.

Rotate who runs your meetings. This gives everyone a chance at a Leadership Role.

Listen and learn. Seek out the opinion and perspective of those outside of your circle.

Tutor someone or volunteer to help those who are less fortunate.

Make something yummy with chocolate chips to share with others!

Have a working lunch/dinner/supper with everyone eating what they have made themselves, together. Describe it.

Consider hosting an evening with acquaintances to build new connections and friendships.

Introduce your spouses, girlfriends/boyfriends to everyone else and speak something nice about them. (just five Minutes.)

It’s “Put a Pillow in Your Fridge Day” so… do that! DO something crazy and fun. Have a “What funny thing have you done day.”

Discuss ways to create a more equitable workplace

Reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a long time.

Invite someone with whom you’d like a stronger connection, to coffee or lunch. Describe how it went.

Plan a special meal and invite family or neighbours over. What was the reaction? Discuss with the group.

Call someone who is having a rough time and offer your support. What was the outcome?

Try to say your favourite tongue twister 10 times in a row today

Be aware of what your body language is communicating.

Go for a hike over the weekend and notice all the beauty around you. Discuss for five minutes.

Text someone a positive message first thing this morning. What message did you send (if you can say it aloud) and what was the reaction?

Ask someone at work to give you constructive feedback about your performance

Be intentional about using positive language in all of your interactions today.

Don’t engage in negative conversations. Change the subject or inject something positive

Say hello to at least five people today.

Go outside of your comfort zone and start a conversation with someone new.
