30 DAYS OF WINS - DAY 1

DAY 1: How to Stop Overthinking in 3 Simple Tips

Do you ever feel like your mind just won’t stop? It’s 1 a.m., and instead of sleeping, your thoughts are racing. If only you could turn your brain off! If this sounds familiar, read on…

Step 1: Soothe Your Nervous System - Box Breathing Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, and pause for 4. Repeat until you feel calmer. This simple technique helps regulate your nervous system and ease racing thoughts.

Step 2: Write it Down Get those thoughts out of your head and onto paper. Divide them into two columns: things you can control and things you can’t. Give yourself 10 minutes to do this, then move on.

Step 3: Schedule or Let It Go For the things you can control, assign a time during the day to address them. For the rest, consciously release them by saying, “I give these over to the Universe.”

Bonus nervous system tips:

  • Cold Exposure: Splash cold water on your face to quickly calm your system.
  • Humming or Singing: Activate the vagus nerve to lower your heart rate and relax.

Overthinking happens to all of us. Start with these small steps to regain peace of mind.

Remember: YOU are not your thoughts—you control your mind. (If you want to know more about this, message me.? It’s a game-changer!)
