You have wrong beliefs till date
Belief #1 "I will adjust because they are paying me"
Understand one thing very clearly
"Teachers are for Students"
"Coaches are for Coachees"
"Doctors are for patients"
"Mentors are for Mentees"
Never the other way around
Never
They need your help, and you don't need their money
When you talk with that belief, they will start seeing you as an Expert
The fact that you say that "I will adjust",
says to me that you allow them to have more power over you.
And by doing that, you just gave your authority to them.
Write your "Terms of Doing Business"
Stick to that, no matter what.
If you set the expectations early, you will face a lot less Resistance in the future while working
Belief #2 They don't have the money to pay me, so I will charge less
Do you know what the reality is?
"People Afford What They Want To Afford"
I wish that never happens
but if a Medical emergency kicks in your family right now,
won't you try to do everything you can to get the money to solve that issue?
would you say staffs like
"I don't have the money, so I will let them die"?
Understand this
So if they say, "I cannot afford",
It can be one or more of the following
a. They genuinely don't have the money
b. They don't see the real value
c. Your desperation pushed them off
Solve these core problems first
Belief #3 Selling Is Bad, but you have to do it for money.
Fix this belief
Understand one thing
"Selling is an act of service"
If you genuinely care for them, you MUST sell to them
because that's the only way
They will commit to you,
They will listen to what you will have to say,
They will take action and
And ultimately get results.
