3 women in agriculture discuss how to share our story with consumers

It's a topic that is so important: how can we engage with consumers who increasingly have a curiosity about the food they eat and where it comes from?

Our popular 'Women Talk' Panel Discussions are a great place to have this dialogue at our Advancing Women in Agriculture Conference. On October 31 at our Niagara Falls, Ontario event, we'll welcome three women in agriculture to lead this discussion and share their insights with our attendees.

Trish Jordan is passionate about agriculture, farmers and enhancing agricultural awareness with the non-farming public. In her current role as Public and Industry Affairs Director with Monsanto she is responsible for media relations, issues management and providing strategic communications support to core business activities. Trish also manages Monsanto Canada’s ongoing efforts to engage with consumer audiences to share the Monsanto story.

Jennifer Shomenta serves as Managing Director of Cargill’s Ag Supply Chain in North America. She has management accountability for all farmer-facing and end-use customer activities in North America including grain origination, crop input sales, risk management product sales, as well as grain and agronomy advisory services.

Michele Spector is Parrish & Heimbecker's VP of Human Resources and has 25 years of experience in the HR field in a variety of industries in both Canada and the United States. Michele brings a practical view to managing a company’s greatest asset: their staff. She has a passion for helping people reach their full potential and for creating and implementing programs that drive employee engagement.

Our 'Women Talk' Panel Discussions are one of the highlights of our Advancing Women in Agriculture conferences. The dialogues that happen are part of learning and sharing experiences together.

There is still room to register and join over 400 women in agriculture in Niagara Falls on October 30 & 31, 2017! Find out more on our website.
