REPRODUCTIVE CARE: One of the biggest parts to becoming a parent is making the decision as to when and if you're ready and able to take on that responsibility. When it's not the right time, or a pregnancy is not viable, individuals need reproductive healthcare, and telehealth platform Hey Jane is working to provide that support for more than 50,000 patients across the U.S. Co-founder and CEO Kiki Freedman shared what employers and employees need to know about abortion care today.

TEEN MENTAL HEALTH: Lyra Health 's new platform gives teens access to more than 6,500 providers who specialize in this age group, as well as digital lessons that help teens develop and practice healthy coping skills to support mental health. ?In addition to teen-specific support, Lyra Care for Teens also offers coaching and support for parents, which can help them navigate a mental health issue as a family, and protect their own well-being, too. Lyra's data found that more than half of working parents are supporting a child with a mental health issue, and a third of those said it caused a decline in their own mental health.?
"There's definitely a huge ripple effect with teen mental health, and when the teen is struggling, the parents and the families are definitely struggling," says Lyra's Dr. Monica Wu, Ph.D. "That is inevitably going to impact how they show up at work, because there's going to be that added stress and distraction."?

CANCER CARE: Supporting her own mother through a cancer diagnosis, Vanessa Deen Johnson, MPH witnessed the gap in personalized, timely care , and the stress it caused for her family. She co-founded cancer telehealth platform Navvisa in 2021, which matches specialized oncology nurses to patients based on their particular diagnosis. Members can communicate with their nurse anytime via text, phone and video call, and receive feedback within an hour.
"It became a full-time job to advocate and navigate my mom's care and treatment," Johnson says. "I had a friend who was an oncology nurse and ended up being my touchstone and my guide. To have that kind of ready access to somebody who was very knowledgeable about my situation and about cancer was invaluable."
