Do you know that feeling when you’re putting in the work, but it seems like nothing is happening? Yeah, I’ve been there, too.
I remember getting into the pool just this week to train for my next race last May. I felt good at first, but as I started swimming, it felt like I was barely moving. The people in the next lane were cruising past me while I felt like I was sinking. The whole time, I wondered, Why am I even doing this?
But then I looked at the clock. I had been swimming for an hour. An entire hour. It didn’t matter that I wasn’t the fastest—it mattered that I kept going. That was progress.
So, if you’ve been feeling stuck, here are 3 ways to measure progress that matter:
1?? How You Feel Daily – More energy? Less stiffness? Sleeping better? These are signs that your body is thriving, even if the scale isn’t budging.
2?? What Your Body Can Do – Are you lifting heavier? Holding a plank longer? Getting through workouts with more ease? That’s progress, even if you don’t see it in the mirror.
3?? Your Mindset Shift – Maybe you’re showing up even when you don’t feel like it. That's why I'm here to hold you accountable. Maybe you’re kinder to yourself instead of picking apart every little thing. That’s HUGE.
Progress isn’t always about significant, dramatic changes. Sometimes, it’s just about showing up, staying consistent, and trusting that it’s working—even when it doesn’t feel like it.
So tell me—what’s one way you’ve noticed progress lately? Hit reply and let me know.
Love your day,
