Managing your time well is an important skill to have when planning to perform at the Olympics. Good time management requires lifestyle changes and responsibility. Here are a few tips and tricks I use to stay on top of my game.
Prioritizing Your Tasks
Prioritizing your tasks is one of the most important steps you can take when you have multiple things to do. Understand how important each task is on its own and in reference to the other things you have to do.?Assign levels of importance to things you need to complete and set your tasks accordingly. Doing this prevents you from wasting time on unimportant takes first and keeps you from losing track of what you need to do next.
Set Personal Deadlines and Relaxation Gaps
So once you have the priority list down and know which things to attempt first and what tasks to leave for later, you can begin creating your schedule for completion. It is not the same thing as deciding the priority for your tasks; creating a schedule helps when you plan to begin each task and when it should be completed.
Creating a specific schedule helps you stay on top of things, including adding time to relax in the middle. You know when you need to be done with a certain task, how long you have to rest , and what exact task you need to start doing next. This sort of clarity on your responsibilities helps you stay on top of your game without burning yourself out.

One Thing At a Time
Many people will attempt to multi-task and do the most in the time they have available to themselves. Even if you have to continue working a little longer, it pays to pay full attention to the task at hand rather than be distracted by the idea of multi-tasking.
Multi-tasking doesn’t exist ?either. At best, you repeatedly shift attention from one task to another, but true multi-tasking is simply a myth. To complete tasks most efficiently, focus fully on what you’re doing and only shift attention away from it once you’re done.
