3 Ways To Gain Extreme Power By Leveraging Your Uniqueness

One of the greatest gifts that we are presented with as a human-being is our uniqueness.

The place where you were born and the manner in which you were raised separate you from every other individual on this planet.

The life experiences that you have enjoyed are different from anyone else.

The successes that you have experienced and the failures that you have endured are yours alone.

The relationships and connections that you have constructed will never be duplicated.

The knowledge that you have gained has formed neurological pathways in your brain that cannot be copied by anyone else.

You are truly unique.

Unfortunately, the rush and busyness of normal life often causes us to forget about and fail to leverage our uniqueness. Days are quickly and easily transformed into a repetitive sea of mundane sameness.

Before long, we begin to consider ourselves to be just like everyone else. Our individual dreams fade away and our actions become one with society.

In this process, we lose the uniqueness that would otherwise enable us to be a difference-maker in this world.

However, with some intentional effort it is possible to be reminded of and to discover ways that we can leverage the uniqueness that each of us possess.

1. Uniqueness of Thought: Your brain thinks differently than mine or anyone else. It is because your unique life experiences, knowledge and perceptions enable your mind to think in a way that is completely unique from others. Take advantage of this ability to assess and to think about problems and opportunities. There is nothing holding you back from bringing unique thoughts to any situation.
2. Uniqueness of Action: There are many different actions that can be taken to achieve a desired outcome. It is up to you to decide what actions to take and what ones to avoid. Of course, you can decide to follow the crowd and to simply do what others are doing. However, you can also take advantage of your uniqueness to come up with other ways to produce results a faster and more efficient manner.
3. Uniqueness of Value: Your uniqueness automatically positions you to be able to bring value to other people. You might express this value at home, at your workplace, through your own business or simply via social interaction of friends and family. In most cases, this value comes from your unique knowledge or life experiences (often your failures) that you can leverage to help others.

We must never forget that our uniqueness is a gift.

God has designed each of us to live a different life and to tell a different story. We are a unique piece of a well-built puzzle.

As we progress through life, each of us develops a unique history of experiences. The challenge for each of us to make sure that we review, learn from and leverage these unique experiences.

Don’t make it overly complex. Seek to do more of what works and less of what doesn’t by using your uniqueness to enrich your own life, to continuously improve and to bring forth unique value to the lives of others.
