You don’t have to feel overwhelmed, agitated, and burnt out trying to accomplish everything that you’ve set out to do…
Anxiously relying on willpower and stimulants alone, to “just get through this,” day, week, or month.
Or puzzlingly wondering why your brain is foggy, your cognitive function is declining, and you are
constantly on edge. ??
If you are looking for poised energy, mental clarity, and access to your highest performing self, you’re going to love this post.
Before I get into it, I want you all to realize that these methods have taken YEARS to discover through personal experimentation, hours upon on hours of focused reading, and thousands of dollars of research…
And will help you, the high-achiever that you are, get your momentum, drive, and inspiration back. ??
High-achievers, are passionate, dynamic, and have relentless willpower in their pursuits of success in all the domains of their life. [Just like you]
But there is a problem with this…
As valuable and necessary as these traits are, they can also be the demise of the ambitious high-achiever.
? When being dynamic turns into being frantic.
? Passion turns to unchanneled energy, instead of deliberate concentration on a few important causes
? Willpower turns into irresponsible grit, over-working, over-training, and over-stressing in order to gain short-term results, while sacrificing long-term success.
These are symptoms of burn out…
Symptoms that will crush momentum, and be the catalyst to a confidence-crushing, negative feedback loop that will ultimately destroy all progress on the projects you are working on.
As the high-achiever you are, you are going to experience periods where you will be tired, anxious, and approaching burn-out.
But just as you worked your way into it, you’re going to work your way out of it.
Here are 3 tips to get you started.
1] Make meditation a priority.
Chronic stress [a cause and result of burnout] causes an increase in the hormone cortisol.
Along with many of the ways in which it wreaks havoc on your body, one of them, is that it lowers levels of melatonin, a hormone that helps you fall asleep.
We all know this vicious cycle.
Stress yields insomnia, which yields fatigue, which causes the next day to be even more stressful…
And we are off to the races…
A highly cited study conducted by Rutgers University shows that meditation increases melatonin levels by an average of 98%, with some participants in the studies experiencing up to 300%...
By meditating just twice a day for twenty minutes, research shows your body rests very deeply, up to 2 to 5 times deeper than the deepest part of sleep.
Long term body fatigue melts away and the mind de-excites and deeply rests, releasing long-held stress.
Meditation can help us feel well-rested and energized...
which in turn makes us feel less stressed and anxious, gives us better focus and productivity, sharpens and de-clutters the mind, and makes us feel calmer and more relaxed.
My Tip: Pick the SAME TIME every day to meditate.
2] Take a rest day from the gym each week. Or two.
Stress + Rest = Growth. ? That’s the equation.
Memorize it. Learn it. Live it. In our hustle culture, we keep hearing that more stress is better. More rest is bad...
This is the furthest thing from the truth...
More is not optimal...
Optimal is optimal...
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, you are very likely training too often, and it is contributing to your burnout.
- Getting sick constantly
- Losing or gaining weight unexplainably, despite adhering strictly to your diet and workouts
- Gaining weight only in the abdominal area, as this region holds on to cortisol related water more than other areas
- Unexplainable Headaches
- Inability to wake up in the morning as well as trouble falling asleep
Tip: Cut the shit. Drop your ego. Rest another day – you’ll be ok.
3] Find A Solid Nootropic
The most basic ingredients to start with are Alpha GPC, L-Theanine, and Caffeine.
For starters, this is all you need...
If are going to go on the route of blends, which are a collection of ingredients pre-dosed and put together usually in the form of capsules, you are going a very efficient route.
By ordering a blend, you don’t have to measure powders out, nor encapsulate them.
Make sure of the following before you order a blend so you don’t get a low-quality, unsafe, or ineffective product:
1) There are no proprietary blends
2) There was an extensive research and development process that has been carried out by an ethical founder
3) The ingredients are adequately dosed
4) The product is designed to provide both acute performance benefits as well as improve your brain function in the long-term.
One of my recommendations is Nootrol, by Black Lion Research...
Another is Nootropimax by Performax Labs...
Of course – you can also look at QUANTUMiND, which is my blend of 15 premium ingredients dosed to perfection.
I poured my heart and soul into it’s creation for all the high-achievers out there…
...To conclude...
Feeling tired – well, it is absolutely inevitable. You’re a high-achiever.
Heck – you may be completely burnt out when reading this.
I won’t blame you for getting here. However, I will put the responsibility on you to get out of this suboptimal state.
Remember, it’s all about the long-term. Use this post to get you back on track.
Even if you don’t think you can. Trust me – You can. ??
