As a doctor, it's more important than ever to make sure your online reputation is in good shape. Many patients now do their own research before committing to an appointment, and they will often check out your website and reviews online. That's why it's important to be proactive about evaluating your online reputation on a regular basis. In this blog post, we'll talk about three ways to do just that!
First, you can Google yourself on a regular basis. This will give you an idea of what patients are seeing when they look you up online. Make sure to check out the first few pages of results, as that's typically where patients will look. If there are any negative reviews or articles about you, make note of them so you can address them accordingly.
Second, you can set up Google Alerts for your name. This way, you'll be notified any time your name is mentioned online. You can then check out the context of the mention and see if it's positive or negative. If it's negative, you can again take steps to address it.
Finally, you can monitor your social media accounts. This includes not just looking at your own posts, but also checking out what others are saying about you. If you see any negative comments or reviews, take the time to respond to them. You can also use social media as an opportunity to show off your positive reputation by sharing positive reviews and articles about you.
So, managing online reviews and reputation is hard enough to track for a single practice—but what if you have dozens of locations and hundreds of providers?
Some of the questions that we hear from clients include:
? Can you effectively deal with inaccurate comments or reviews?
Yes, it's best to be upfront and honest, and timely with your response.
? How can you scale a system to leverage multiple locations?

Talk to your software provider about how they can set you up with several sister accounts that will emulate how your current structure is set up.
? How do you control a larger share of search results in general?
There are tools that will auto-populate your search results. This will fall upon your office or marketing manager's responsibility to set aside time every week to review.
? How do you create a policy about reviews and responses?
This should be a team effort and a collaboration with your marketing manager or director
? How do you establish a reputation management system?
Just like many of the other systems you've sent up with your practice, you'll do the same. Ideally making it all digital is the best practice.
By following these three tips, you can make sure your online reputation is in good shape. Patients will be able to see that you're a doctor they can trust, and you'll be able to attract more business as a result! All practice review requests should be set up in your text messaging software for the day after campaigns.
