It is advisable that you practice English vocabulary through all four aspects of the language, which are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Here are some tips you can follow to improve your English vocabulary:

Actually, you should learn vocabulary in a more natural way. You must get as much exposure on the language as possible through various ways. You can do that by reading articles of your level (important) and interest, by listening to music with some attention to the lyrics, by watching movies, series, videos that you enjoy. Start it off by watching them with subtitles in Portuguese, after some time in English, until you get rid of them eventually.

Whenever you come across new and relevant words for you, take note of them and look up for their meanings. It is really useful that you make up your own sentences with this new vocabulary. You should think about real life situations, where and when that vocabulary can be used.

3??You can also master new English vocabulary by reading short texts on topics of your interest. Again, you can write down unknown vocabulary in whole sentences that are meaningful to you.
