3 Ways to Amplify Your Goals

3 Ways to Amplify Your Goals

Introduction

A study by the Harvard MBA program highlighted the significance of setting clear, written goals. Only 3% of the students had written goals, and they achieved ten times the average earnings of their peers.

Write your Goals

Write down your goals. This simple act can dramatically increase your chances of success by a thousand percent.

Amplifying The Writing of Your Goals – 3 Ways

Number 1 - The What

We’ve all heard, one of the most effective ways to ensure your goals are achieved is by using the SMART criteria: Specific, Measurable, Aligned with Your Values, Realistic & Relevant, and Time-Bound.

Here’s the SMART Criteria Breakdown

  • Specific: Clearly define what you want.
  • Measurable: Track your progress.
  • Aligned with Your Values: Ensure your goals are in harmony with your core values.
  • Realistic & Relevant: Set achievable and relevant goals.
  • Time-Bound: Assign deadlines to your goals to motivate your subconscious mind.

Number 2 - The How

Second, there is a very powerful way to write your goals, in order to anchor in your subconscious mind and even tap into the superconscious mind. The powerful way to write them is:

  • In the first person
  • In the present tense
  • Using a Positive Statement
  • Using an action verb
  • With a deadline

For example: if one of my goals is to lose weight, I could write this as “I weigh 135 pounds by December 15, 2024.”

Number 3 - The WOW

Third, for a significant boost in amplifying your goals – write your 10 most important goals for the year every weekday. This is the most effective way to program your goals deeply into your mind. You can write them daily in a journal, planner or a basic spiral notebook.?I use my iPad and iPencil and write them in OneNote.

There’s even a specific time of day that is more powerful – within 45 min of waking or 45 min before going to sleep. Upon waking, your brain has transitioned from delta waves to theta waves?which are important for memory, learning, and problem-solving. Once you get going on writing your goals daily, it takes 2-4 minutes a day.

?Conclusion

Daily goal writing programs your goals deeply into your mind, aligning your conscious and superconscious efforts toward achieving them. You won’t believe how effective this is until you try it!!!

Thanks for the thoughts on WOW - writing the goal daily. This is a new step that I will start now.
