What did you use your L&D budget for? Why??
Sanam: I used my L&D budget for taking the Mastering Digital Marketing Course: SEM, SEO, Social Media and Beyond at the London Business School. I felt it was a good time to update and refresh my knowledge in Digital Marketing. I chose this course as it has been created for people exactly like myself - experienced, knowledgeable, but wanting to stay up to date. The course was great in covering all aspects of Digital Marketing and focusing on B2B. It was quite intense with 10-12 hours of classes a week, which required another 6-8 of studying and homework due weekly. I loved every moment of it and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in brushing up their marketing knowledge.?
What is one thing you learned from the experience that you will apply to your job/life??
So much! It definitely reminded me of how much I love marketing and what I do, but equally has inspired and motivated me to think of new ways we can take Moloco to the next level.

What is one thing you learned from the experience that you will apply to your job/life??
JH: I learned many practical skills in setting up a recruiting process consisting of the company's goal, improving the employer brand, embracing new technology and trends in the industry. Moreover, by networking with the other speakers and attendants, I realized that I have to keep my eyes on the industry trend, learn from it, and reflect on the strength that I can sharpen and make to the most success in my work, regardless of my seniority.?
Wilson: I became aware that excellent talent can show different performances because of an organization's composition and culture. Therefore, I believe that it is necessary to evolve the recruitment process to select those who meet the company's core values, while maintaining a high bar for recruiting talent.
What did you use your L&D budget for? Why??
I attended SXSW EDU (pronounced South by Southwest E-D-U), an annual conference and festival in Austin, Texas that celebrates learning and innovation. Each year, I go to this conference to discover new initiatives, startups, and best practices for workplace learning. SXSW EDU gives me an opportunity to explore, to ask questions, and to explore with other educators.?

In a keynote presentation, renowned architect Frank Gehry and educator Doreen Gehry Nelson shared their experience developing purposeful learning experiences for students in the Los Angeles Unified School District in the 1970s (through the lens of city-building, students learn lessons around civics, sustainability, and more.) While reminiscing about this project, which evolved through Gehry Nelson’s later work, they emphasized the importance of cultivating curiosity in learning experiences. Frank Gehry noted how essential it is to retain your signature, your perspective, and Doreen Gehry Nelson, reiterated how essential it is to take risks and make mistakes. Their stories reminded how important it is to establish psychologically safe learning environments at Moloco where learners feel empowered to learn by doing, and often, failing.?
