The turning of a new year is such an exciting time. People are celebrating across the globe, coming together to make this lovely planet a better place and making new years resolutions to live a healthier life style. And although these things seem to slide by the wayside as the year progresses, why not make a news years marketing resolution for your business? Take a look at these timeless trends and think about implementing them today:
Marketing with Honesty
Why not instead put your best face forward and tell your customers exactly whats what. It is incredibly refreshing. I’ve said this before and I’m sure I will say it again:
Marketing with Honesty is the NEW Best Policy!
Gone are the days of one sided communication. Through the internet you can find anything about any one person or company. If the information you are providing isn’t honest people will be able to easily see through you. Channel your marketing efforts to be two sided and make an effort to engage your customers. When they reach out to communicate with you online, be sure to interact, start a dialogue, be honest. As Pat Flynn says:
“The moment dishonesty enters the selling equation is the moment you’re selling for the WRONG reason.”
Give Back
By genuinely caring about and connecting with people they will be encouraged to do the same. Helping to solve an actual problem is far more beneficial then offering something that doesn’t. Make a commitment to make an impact and change the world. By giving first the rewards will be far greater.
Learn New Things
My dad always told me that it’s important to learn something new every day. I try to keep to this motto to this day. If I’m not learning I always feel like there’s something missing. With knowledge at our finger tips, through the internet, and by the people around us it is so easy to soak everything is. Outside of gaining knowledge yourself, why not spread the education yourself? People like to be inspired. Inspired to go on that trip they’ve always wanted, to eat healthier, to go for that run, to make their business a success. By providing them the inspiration and knowledge that they need to achieve their goals, they will remember you and keep coming back for useful information and utilize what you are providing. This is a great way to start building relationships, gaining expertise and interacting with potential customers. As Napoleon Hill says:
“Successful people, in all callings, never stop acquiring specialized knowledge related to their major purpose, business, or profession.”
So remember never stop learning, give back to the world and keep your communication honest and open and you’ll be sure to have a successful year ahead!
