Hey, it's Danielle here.
Today, we'll cover the 3 toxic myths about growing your business that all owners MUST break away from to achieve the success they want.
Getting your mindset right is the #1 dragon that must be slain if you want business success. Like they say - "You are your worst enemy and best asset"?
From years of mentoring a sea-full of 1:1 private clients from all walks of life, I can tell you that the best and most successful clients are those with the right mindset and attitude and those who aren't plagued by false beliefs about growing their business.
And so my friend - It's myth-busters time!?
Myth #1: "I can find all the information I need online"
Is this true? Well if you spend years on top of years researching and testing, perhaps you can. Been there got the t-shirt and it’s easily failable actually, so here’s some problems for you to consider (Each encountered first-hand by yours truly):?
#1. You don't know what you don't know: Yes - the information is all out there. The answer to just about everything is out there. Question is, why isn't everyone crushing it with their business? The answer is simple: They do not know who they should listen to and what's actually correct. Sometimes, the answer can be right in front of you, it’s just you don’t know what you are looking for!
#2. Information can be outdated because things change FAST online: If you read something that was written more than 2 - 3 years ago, I can tell you that there will be some degree of out of date information in there. So if you are looking for those secretly hidden proven-to-work strategies… the free information you will find will often be old and outdated - replaced by new, more modern and efficient strategies.?
#3. Echo-chamber problem: People read something (that in reality doesn't actually work) then expertly talk about it all because it was in a fabulously junk-filled article. Spread said inaccurate info across 100x websites and your staring at a sea of misinformation. (All of which results in information overload and a very confused not to mention overwhelmed you.)
Hey, I should know!?
I’ve racked up my time in this game and I’ve come to learn exactly what's right and what's wrong. And oh boy... there’s no shortage of incorrect information out there - I can promise you that.
Safe to say, it’s slim pickings that you will find the correct information, decipher through it, then align it in a way which makes sense not to mention all without help.?
That’s why it pays to be mentored.
Whether it’s through a 1:1 coach, a certified course, or simply a credible book - seek guidance from someone who has done it before you.
Myth #2: "You need to grind it out/ hustle more/ some other loosely-used Gary V statement”
This is just straight-up untrue.
Welcome to the myth of the hour because thinking “if I work harder and longer, then I will get more results.” is wrong! You also need to work Smart.?
That’s why the law of diminishing returns exists in life and not only on spreadsheets. If working harder and longer was true - rich people wouldn't be spending so much time on their yachts and traveling the world.?
Truth is: Small, consistent, wise changes is where growth happens.?

Create a Routine,? Review.? Refine = Massive change.?
Right this moment I have private clients who I am currently coaching.?
Each of them have restructured their lifestyle-goals to implement daily habits which kill it in the online space! I’m running out of reasons why YOU can't either!
Myth #3: You won't have a profit from the start.
History repeats itself - and I have been proven wrong time and time again all by simply seeing people make astounding from-the-start profits year after year!?
When I first saw it, I thought turning a profit within 18 months was insane. (Not anymore)
Even today it’s still widely accepted that it’s the norm not to have profit for the first 5 years of your business. Which simply isn’t true.
Want a profit fast??
ASK your clients what they want then charge them Before you build it.?
Yes you heard that right - charge them to build the product. Little known secret: businesses that have been in the trenches have done this for YEARS but truthfully a lot of people have NO IDEA this is how you grow.?
SO Why is believing in these 3 myths so problematic???
Answer: Because believing in these 3 myths will cripple you from taking the action you need to. Your confidence gets knocked around, you don't seek guidance, and subsequently, you don't transform your business as a result.
As someone who has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years, I have seen breakthrough after breakthrough and I know that it is not difficult... people are just missing the right guidance for their business.
If it were so hard then how come we have literally millions of successful businesses? So they are all geniuses? NO... they did it with the right strategies and through pure hard work.
So focus on precisely that - learning the right strategies and putting in the work! Take heart. You can do this! Don't for a second doubt yourself.
That's all I have for today! I want you to know that you can do this :)
See you next week!?
Till then, take care!

2 年Yep, I've believed in these myths. I'm into my third year of business and I still have two to go to make profits. I've always known that it didn't need to be this way, but I didn't know how to make it a reality. I kick myself for not making it happen sooner, but on the other hand, I've learned so much that it's been an incredible journey that I would not give back (oh wait, unless I made profits in the first year ?? ). In truth and honesty, if I knew to surround myself with people that I wanted to be like and accept nothing less, I think I would have shattered that myth a long time ago. Instead, I just kept learning my craft (while not following a plan/strategy) and then later found out about surrounding myself with the people who could teach you quicker, and with a strategy. Always growing...
