3 Tools Young Professionals Must Have To Achieve Six Figure Success

?It was 2012, and a beautiful spring morning in New York City.

I had signed up to be a professional development mentor.

I was to provide career guidance, for a group of young professionals. Those in the photo above.

When I look back, I wonder … who was I to be giving anyone advice, because I was most certainly as lost as they.

But I am so grateful, those initially awkward introductions, lay the foundation for my life’s most rewarding work.

My commitment as a volunteer taught me service and humility and offered me the opportunity to pay it forward.

I went to a private university, NYU to be specific, and worked among people who were highly career-oriented. A friend in business school taught me how to write a resume and apply for a job.? It was something practically drilled into me by my peers, career center,? and the culture of my environment.??

So I took for granted that students everywhere, had easy and available access to professional training.? Moreover, it would seem in the best interest of both companies and colleges, that career-bound students, be ready with a solid resume in hand. ? Alas, I discovered that this was not the case.??

The disparity of talented people who seemed blocked, only by their inability to communicate their professional accomplishments on a single piece of paper, was shocking.? Purpose, heart and worth ethic were certainly not in short supply.? It just seemed so strange to me that the gap between academia and the corporate work environment was so big.

?When I realized there was a shortage of career services for students and young professionals, and that I had a knack for helping people in this capacity, I was inspired and felt a moral obligation to create Six Figure Success.

I created Six Figure Success and the “Rock Your Resume” program because your resume is your “golden ticket” to a dream job, more money, and a better life.??

Say what you may, but it is just a fact.?

I understand the rules of writing resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles.? I’ve been helping people go on to have dream careers for the past 10 years.

I come from very humble beginnings.? Fought my way to achieve my dream of moving to New York City, and designing a life and career I can be proud of. ?
