3 Tips To Get "The Money Shot" For Your Design
You have a project to visualize.
You find a studio to outsource the 3D visuals, and you are unsure which mood the images should be in. Daylight, sunset, early morning, or…?
Here are some tips to help you figure out the best mood for your project:
1. The reference image you got from the client
Most of the time, your client has already searched online for inspiration and these images are going to be their reference image when comparing your concept to what they want.
That’s why when you present your design in the same mood as in the reference images, you have made it easier for them to understand your design and therefore decide quickly whether to move forward or not.
2. Consider the location and orientation of the building.
You like sunset and afternoon light, and so do I.

However, in many designs, when we replicate the right movement of the sun, the design won’t appear as you expect.
And in some cases, the designers ask us to get the sun from the other side, but that’s called a manipulation.
I like to see images of the site at different times of the day so I can determine the best style that fits your design.
3. Focus on street views rather than aerials
Your start your concept from a certain angle, sketch the idea and send it to us to make in 3D.
All is good until that moment when your concept is made in aerial view.
We make it happily, no problem. But what I would really recommend is having at least a street view in your design. Why? Because at the end of the day, it would be what everyone will see - either in daylight or sunset. And it makes the street view become the most important angle of the building.
Which style and mood do you like the most for your design?
