3 Tips to create better videos

Let me share with your three basic tips to keep in mind while creating videos. I know - there are tons of other things to be taken into consideration during the video production - but I wanted to share just a few basic ones:

10 seconds of attention!

Did you know that one-fifth of viewers click off a video within 10 seconds?

(perhaps you are thinking about it right now... but wait... watch it till the end)

If you are not interested - not visually hooked - you will click away, right? Same it is with your viewers when they watch your videos.

Keep that in mind! the introduction to video is vitally important... It should be entertaining, engaging, informative and inspiring. 

Only then you will see the increase in the view time of your videos.

Do not try to be perfect

Videos for marketing purposes are not Hollywood movies. Nobody expects perfection. 

Just like with this short video.

So don’t become too obsessed with perfection that on the 50th take you still haven’t got it right. 

Be concerned with the content of the video... more than a form. 

Be natural... be authentic... be you... that is more important than a perfectly edited video. Content is the king... right?

Include humor

Sometimes I get a question - can I use humor in our business corporate videos? Not all corporate videos need to be serious. Some humor can work well in generating more interest in your video.

I believe it is always good to create a video which makes people smile... not necessarily laugh... but smile... create a feel-good video with a little funny aspect in it. I am sure it will not hurt your serious business image.
