3 tips to become a Content Creator

"I don't know which platform to start producing content on"
Your focus should never be that.
It is normal to produce content on a platform just because it has many users.
It even makes sense to think that way.
If there is a big demand, I can offer it there.
There is only one problem with this.
You are burning steps.
The first concern should be to find what content format you are comfortable producing.
Then couple that with everything you believe about your industry.
It is not the channel that will deliver results.
But the sum of what you alone deliver within a natural language.
Does it make sense?
The platform you choose will depend on the format and what you will create as content.
To start creating content, begin by applying these 3 steps:
1. Set goals
This is the most important part of the whole process.
You need to know where you want to go, otherwise, you will just be rowing all over the place.
Define your future goals and all the steps you need to take to achieve your success.
Also, organize your schedule to have time to produce your content.
An important tip:
Create a stock of ideas, like a draft agenda.
Inspiration can come at any time.
By having a bank of ideas, you will not lose the insights you have had in those moments.
2. Define success metrics
To know if you are on the right track it is necessary to define metrics that will show you this.
Engagement rate, reach of publications, lead conversion...
All these can be included and show whether your goal is near or far.
After establishing a routine and your goals, knowing how to measure your success is very important.
For example:
Start interacting with your audience and exchange insights about the topics you post and other interests.
However, if your goal is to grow your network strategically, analyze your reach and the number of followers/connections you have.
Sending connection requests constantly and strategically are two techniques that will help you gain a large qualified network.
3. Create content pillars
Here I am not talking about all the technical topics you will cover.
I am talking about what the general focus is going to be.
Personal trajectory, leadership, and people management ?

What are the main subjects that you want to cover that will help you achieve your goal ?
Define this, thinking not only of yourself and your experience but of what will help your audience.
Do this before you even think about producing, or it won't work.

By following this methodology, you'll see that creating content and telling your story will take you to new places and meet new people, that identify with what you are saying.
Therefore, to become a relevant content creator, you must challenge yourself and follow these 3 steps that I told you.
