Many people think it’s a problem because they don’t know how to talk about it, or how to articulate in the “perfect” way, but in reality it’s just something that happens. Like people get broken up with and we get our hearts broken in life. We don’t go through our whole careers without it happening at some point. It’s not a point of shame, it’s just a neutral circumstance.?

?

Sometimes it can be charged with shaming self-inflicting thoughts and that’s something i also address in next week’s podcast! Fear not there’s always a way to talk about in a congruent way for you.?

?

2?? Leaving a job in under a year or “Job hopping” as people like to call it, (honestly) is how most people advance. If we look at statistics most people will make their big leaps and pay raises moving to another company, vs. staying in the one they’re in. It does happen (I’ve done both)... But when it’s time to walk away it’s time to walk away because you have to take care of your self first. No one else will.?

?

3?? Having a career gap is also a very normal thing. Career gaps enrich our lives, and help us grow as people. There isn’t any explanation needed for these, we can address them and tell people why they were there but the tone and how we feel about them makes a difference.?

?

Many people are fearful, when they quit their jobs after a few months, or get laid off or have a 2 year gap from raising kids (or whatever you were doing) it’s not my business but I support it 10000%! Many people think this is going to make them less valuable or less hireable.?

?

Many people think they will be then viewed as a “flight risk."

?

But truthfully when interviewing with good people and you know what you want, you will end up getting exactly that.?

?

People who get you and understand you and trust you to make the best decisions for you!?

?

I’ve got successful clients of all types in all these categories! They’ve all created even better positions with even better salaries and built their belief in themselves that they can create something new despite whatever the past was.?
