3 Things People Have Always Told Me

I'm a pretty lucky (and very grateful) person. I've always been told:

• that I'm lucky,
• that I'm always ahead of the curve, and
• that I have the perfect job.

And you know what? I believe them! Here's why...

You're Lucky...

Being 'lucky' is often a result of working smarter. The more you work towards your goals, the luckier you'll get. Of course, there will be roadblocks and challenges along the way. But if you stay focused and don't give up, eventually you'll reach your destination.

When you work hard and put yourself in a position to succeed, good things tend to happen. It's not just blind luck - it's the result of making your own luck.

You're Always Ahead of the Curve...

One of the best pieces of advice I've ever received is to surround myself with successful people. When you associate with like-minded individuals, it's easy to stay ahead of the curve. You'll be inspired by their success and motivated to achieve your own goals. Additionally, you'll learn new things and gain valuable insights from their experiences.

If you're always ahead of the curve, it's because you're constantly learning and growing. You're never satisfied with where you're at and are always looking for ways to improve. This can be a difficult mindset to maintain, but it's worth it when you see the results.

You've Got the Perfect Job...

I was once told that an entrepreneur isn't something you do, it's who you are! This philosophy has guided me throughout my career—whether I was working for someone else or myself. Being in charge of my own life has allowed me to create opportunities that are perfect for me. It's been a rewarding journey filled with lots of challenges and growth.

This doesn’t mean every job in my career has been ‘perfect’.?Some jobs you need to take to get to the next place you want to be.?Just understand the ‘why’ behind each job and it will get you through to the next phase of your career.

Having the perfect job doesn't mean that it's easy. It means that you love what you do and are passionate about it. It also means that you're constantly challenging yourself and pushing yourself to be better. If you're not happy with your current situation, don't be afraid to make a change. Life is too short to settle for anything less than pursuing your dream.

Understanding your “WHY” …

If you dig deep and understand your why … the really deep ‘why’…. The ‘why’ you don’t share with anyone else but yourself.?You will have the drive to also ‘become lucky’; to ‘always be ahead of the curve’ and to ‘have the perfect job’.

How do you do this?

FIRST: Write down a long term goal for your life.

1)?????Then ask yourself “why” is that your long term goal. Write down that answer.

2)?????Then ask yourself “why” was that your answer??Write down what that’s important to you.

3)?????Then ask yourself “why is that important to you??Write down your response.

4)?????Then ask yourself ‘why” was that your response? Write down your truthful reply.

5)?????Then ask yourself ‘why’ is this my truth??

FIVE LEVELS OF WHY … to get to your real “WHY” that will drive you to the successful completion of your long term goal.

I’ve completed this exercise many times in my life, over and over again.?The answer never varies much because my ‘why’ is pretty clear to me.?It’s what keeps me going and going and going.?And it keeps me humble and grateful.
