The New Year is right around the corner. No doubt, many if my fit pro friends will be setting goals, creating new business plans, and trying to figure out how they outdo 2023 with client results, income, and work-life balance.
Though I don't work with fitness professionals in a corporate environment anymore, I still have a sincere interest in helping them get better results and build more sustainable incomes.
So with that, these are three things I hope for my fit pro friends in 2024 (and will be working on with those I work with).
1?? Better Results from Clients, Faster
From my experience, the number one thing people want when they start a health and fitness program is to FEEL BETTER.
While it’s possible that clients will feel better in the weeks to months that follow consistency with a good exercise and nutrition plan, that still means it’s weeks to months before they feel better.
That is far too long for most people to remain consistent without feeling a difference, especially when they start the program with low levels of energy, anxiety, signs of depression, or general fatigue.
That’s not to say that some people won’t have incredible success by being able to push through and ignore how they feel as they keep their sites focused on their future selves, but for the majority of people, putting in a lot of time and effort, and not feeling a difference becomes a roadblock to them remaining consistent.
If clients feel better faster, then the trainer gets better results from their clients, and that is a win for both.
Throughout my career, I have looked for ways to have clients feel better faster, and for the first time in my life, feel 100% confident in a solution to do just that.
2?? More Joy and Energy, and Less Stress and Fatigue
Most of the trainers, coaches, and instructors I’ve worked with over the years start out with a visible spark in their eyes, and a passion for helping people that’s almost palpable.
Over time, they work more and more hours, and take less time to enjoy the things they like to do outside of the gym.
They take on their clients struggles, and try to ignore their own internal struggles, fatigue, and stress.
They put on a face of resilience and energy, but they are only temporarily fueled by energy drinks and willpower.
At some point instead of burning brightly, they are really burned out. In part, this is because they have to work so many hours to keep growing their income. If their family grows, their responsibilities grow, and somehow does work schedule.

3?? The Opportunity to Earn an Income Consistent With Your Value and Work Ethic
Just like anywhere else in life, there are some lazy fitness professionals, but as a general rule, most of them are incredibly hard-working, caring, and deliver a value that far exceeds what it is that they earn as an income.
The trouble is that most of them are paid by the hour for the hours they work, and because of that there’s a limit, and how much they can earn. They can’t work any more hours and some people won’t pay more than they’re already paying for those hours.
To continue earning and providing enough to support a family, they need to be able to offer product in a way where they can earn an income, even when they are not working.
But many of them are like me. They would only put their name behind a product line that’s absolutely bulletproof and it has a transformational effect on their clients.
Fortunately, I found that recently.
If you are a fitness professional or practitioner and any of this resonates with you I hope you will join Dr. Shawn Talbott and I on Tuesday evening for FITNESS PROFESSIONAL EXCLUSIVE online session.
I believe what we will cover is the most exciting thing I’ve seen in the decades that I’ve been a fitness professional.
It has the potential to transform your clients and your business alike.
And I believe that it will allow you as a fitness professional to work because you WANT to work not because you HAVE to work.
It will bring back the fire in your eyes that you had when you got started. ??
