3 Things Every REAL Man Wants

Status.?

The relative social, professional, or other standing of someone or something.

Every man wants to feel that he’s “somebody” relative to other men in his space (community, career, gym, office).?

Men will do things – openly and subtly – to prove our status.?

Buy material items.?

Involve ourselves in unnecessary conflict.?

Hang our trophies where you can see them.?

Men are driven to compare and compete. It’s not a negative thing, it’s just a thing.

Resources.?

A stock or supply of money, materials, staff, and other assets that can be drawn on by a person or organization in order to function effectively.

Man’s natural role is as the hunter, the one who goes out and gets the food for the family.

He takes care of what needs to be taken care of. The women and children can relax, because they know the man will go and get whatever is needed.

When a man is in a temporarily compromised position where he is unable to produce resources, he feels uncomfortable in that state – because he knows this is his natural role. He will fight to get back to it.?

Any man who is unable to produce resources, will be urgently working to get back to a position where he can. It is the role he was made for, and the role he is happy to fulfill.

Ambition.?

A strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.

Status and resources are a result of ambition.?

Man’s ambition to be the best — not compared to others, but compared to himself — gives him status, not only amongst other men, but status when he looks in the mirror.

A man’s ambition and drive to achieve status produces resources as a natural byproduct.?

This is why you hear self-help speakers telling you to not chase money or material things. As you feed your ambition and achieve status in the process, resources may accrue to you without you even trying (though consciously trying also works).?

Every man wants these three things.?

Some may pretend as if they don’t care, or as if these don’t matter to them.?

They DO care, and it DOES matter.?

The only man who truly doesn’t care has had his balls cut off. Literally, he has no testosterone.?

Think of the men you most admire, those you look to for inspiration and motivation and see as successful.

Why do you see them this way?

They have status.?

They have (and / or have a strong drive to acquire) resources.?

They’re ambitious, and you can tell by their actions.?
