HOLIDAYS MAKING YOU CRAZY? HERE ARE 3 TIPS FOR A SANER WEEK.
- Give yourself 10 minutes a day to do NOTHING, even if you have to lock yourself in the bathroom to steal the time. Nothing takes the pressure off like pretending you don’t have any for a few minutes!
- Practice anonymous acts of kindness. Do one SMALL thing that will be helpful for someone else. Try to do something every day if you can. By small, I mean tiny, so you don’t feel pressured. For example, yesterday I cleaned up an area in church where someone had tracked in olives from the grove. Took less than a minute. But if I hadn’t done it, someone else would have had to. Kindness without expectations is pure and uplifting.
- Put a list of your loved ones where you will see it during the next couple of weeks, and whenever you come across it, take a minute to hold those dear ones in the light. You’ll be blessing them and yourself in that quick, quiet moment.
And that’s it! May your holidays be as cheerful as this sunflower that bloomed this morning!
