World over, the CxO community face impending threat. Leadership.

Organizations over the last few years, are spending huge money to, up the ante on their leadership capabilities. Organizations like ICF, lead this space of coaching / mentoring.

According to Deloitte research, creating a strong leadership pipeline and a good succession plan keep the CEO awake at night. Coaching and Leadership programs now are a market of over $2 Billion. This market is expected to grow at 40% for the next 3 years.

Yet, stories like the Tata-Mistry and Murthy-Sikka, and the bitter battle of Singhania’s, provide little confidence on any of these programs working effectively.

Here are 3 things that I can think of when a leader is ready to transfer leadership.
