3 takeaways from Day1 of #sapphire2023

1)???AI (especially generative AI) is literally smashing thru to the center of business Ops. #sap 's collaboration with #Microsoft is aligned towards information worker in MS Word, Outlook, Teams etc & with #Google using Datasphere. (I was hoping to understand further about #IBM 's collaboration, maybe that will be more visible going forward).

2) #SAPBTP is your (ie, customers as well as consultants) new BFF: Your favorite customizations, traditional Z-stuff, integrations, analytics, process intelligence has one home: BTP. SAP has experimented with this name (HCP / CPI / SCP & now BTP, one reasonable way to frame the conversation is to evaluate whatever you were doing on SAP NetWeaver & imagine taking it to cloud on #SAPBTP .

2)???Transition from Averages to Actuals based Ops: this phrase was repeated in multiple contexts & some exciting solutions are being delivered with process intelligence & adaptability with #Signavio , #RPA . This is a great theme for Operations as well as for continuous improvement teams.

This is only based on what I could gather from sessions, various demos & conversations with some very bright people (SAP / partners et al), so may need added viewpoints. What was your takeaway from this #SAPhire2023 ? please do share.

PS: there was good positioning of solutions around #sustainability but within North America customer base, I personally am yet to see meaningful actions taking place (beyond the usual discussions).
