3 Strategies For Leaders To Expand A Personal Brand

Now that you have discovered your personal brand and taken the steps to create that brand , you can start working to expand your personal brand. Building a strong foundation and developing thoughtful strategy are the basis?for beginning to expand your brand. Here are three ways your brand can continue to grow:
Be consistent.
When choosing your social platforms for your newly created brand, you also developed your content creation strategy. However, none of that work will matter unless your content is consistent. If you find that creating your content is too overwhelming to create consistently, consider making a few changes. Maybe you can hire a social strategist to outsource some of this work to, or perhaps you could scale back your content strategy into something more manageable without the extra help.
Monitor your progress.
Decide how you want to monitor and evaluate your brand’s progress. Maybe you choose to take note of the number of followers, engagement ratios, and website clicks. Perhaps you will be more interested in your ability to leverage your content into new partnerships and opportunities. Determine how you want to measure your success and create a timeline for doing so.

Pivot your strategy.
Now that you have developed your timeline for tracking progress, it will be easy to understand if your strategy is working. Evaluate your goals, which have been met and which haven’t? Decide if the content that you’ve been creating has been working effectively with your sharing strategy. If not, consider how you could make small pivots in your strategy. This could be anything as small as changing the time of day you share your content, or switching up your brand tone.
Choosing to use the strategies of posting consistent content, monitoring your progress, pivoting when necessary, leveling up, and re-evaluating your goals, will allow any personal brand to expand successfully. Used all together, this three part series will help leaders discover a brand, create that brand, and continue to expand their brand.

I thought I had a solid brand a couple of years ago but I had not gone through the specific steps to identify my expertise (there are so many things I'm interested in). I once was the co-coordinator of Miami LinkedIn Local events and had a healthy frequent presence on LI. All of that has dried up.
