3 Steps to Start Making a Difference in People's Lives and Feel Fulfilled at Work

3 Steps to Start Making a Difference in People's Lives and Feel Fulfilled at Work

You are a good listener. People come to you for help. You notice details. You notice the changes in the tone of voice when someone speaks. You catch it when someone’s eye sparkles. You get excited when you meet new people to discover who they are.

But there is also the other side of you. Education was important to you. You were good in maths and sciences. You were a successful student. You studied at the best schools and graduated with good grades. After your graduation, you started your career in a field where you use your critical thinking abilities and the technical skills you developed through your studies.

Now even though you are competent in what you do, you feel something is missing. You spend hours at work and you do your best but it is not fulfilling. You are missing the spark in somebody’s eyes, you are missing the feeling you have when you’ve just helped someone, you are missing to make a difference in someone else’s life.

You know deep inside you have a gift but you don’t find a way to bring it out. Your work has nothing to do with it. And you just have enough energy to carry yourself through the day.

Does this sound familiar?

If it does, I believe you are a coach in your core.

Your listening skills, your care, and your longing to make a difference reveal it.

Maybe you didn’t know that. Maybe you are not even sure what coaching is.

Let me give you the definition:

Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential.

Your listening skills and your care can create space. Who you are with all your studies, work experiences, your talents, and values become the building blocks of the process that inspires the other person to maximize their potential and change their lives.

All you need is to learn how to create the process: how to create the partnership and how to be the best partner.

Once you’ve mastered that, you will see the possibilities of making a difference everywhere.

You will see it at your work, you will see it in your private life, you will see it even in your own self-talk.

This is how the change will happen for you

First: you learn to see challenges as a pathway for maximizing the potential and you welcome them. Welcoming challenges and using them to maximize potential changes your life but it also inspires others who are in your presence. The questions you ask with that knowing opens up new possibilities for the people and your work.

Second: You train your mind to hold the judgment, to be open in the moment. With that skill, you see what is real and what may be a construct that can be changed or let go. You skilfully share your observations with people. You support people to ask themselves these questions that frees them from old patterns and create new ideas.

Third: Holding the judgment and being able to let go of old patterns, you notice what is truly brilliant and what is emerging. You see people’s gifts, talents, their unique approaches. You acknowledge them, you tell them. You support them to see themselves in this new light as a unique, able, powerful person.

When you learn coaching, you utilize your innate talents, you see the opportunities of making a difference in every interaction and you lead a life of meaning, every single day.

If you’d like to learn coaching to make a difference in people’s lives and feel fulfilled at work, we are at your service in BeCoach Academy.

Beautifully said.? I’m excited and honored to be with you?I??l Uysal Calvelli?and?Elena Marsh?on this journey. Thank you for spotting the inner coach in me and in all the other amazing people in our program.? Distinguishing the real from the contract is such a gift to offer another person, and nothing I’ve ever done before has offered the level of fulfillment which coaching does. ??????
