3 steps for shifting from 'Being Lonely' to 'Blissfully Alone'

More people are suffering from 'Loneliness' than 'Obesity' and its? impact on health is devastating. Vivek Murthy, the current surgeon general, estimates that reporting that you feel lonely is like smoking 15 cigarettes a day in terms of its impact on our health and our well-being. It also affects people of all ages. Here are 3 steps that may help those who are open to new ideas.

  1. We accept?that most humans feel lonely at some point in their life. Especially after the loss of a loved one or separation for an out of town job or a divorce etc. Without a connection with our deeper 'Self' we can feel lonely in a crowd. So experiencing loneliness at times, is a feeling of no connection with any one including self and is the normal human experience.
  2. We develop an authentic relationship with one out of 8 billion humans on this planet, in which we can be vulnerable and share freely then we may experience a shift. In any period of loneliness, if we are conscious that we can reach out to that one person then magically we feel connected, still alone but not lonely.
  3. We do not need to meet, in person if a connection has been established. Just after a few messages and a heart to heart conversation with a human, we feel the magic of reconnecting with deeper 'Self' that includes both of us.?

Find your own way to connect with your deeper 'Self' like our daughter Natasha Dandavati , who attended Vipassana Meditation or by aligning with your purpose/passion or by connecting with a senior citizen, a homeless or an orphan child, an online yoga community or someone who is feeling lonely. You can join us at Global Wellbeing Community, and connect with all those who are interested in this journey from Loneliness to Blissfully Alone.?
