3 Steps to build an audience, have an impact and create a lucrative business

Hello LinkedIn friends,

With competition for visibility online at an all-time high, what can you do to build an audience, have an impact, and create a lucrative business?

Here are the 3 C’s I apply to my LinkedIn strategy that get me noticed and lead to more conversations and sales that you can implement starting today:

1. Create a LinkedIn newsletter

If you are already producing a newsletter that you send to your email list,? why not repurpose that into a LinkedIn newsletter that can reach those NOT on your email list? A newsletter will help you reach a percentage of your connections and followers directly in their inbox, not just on their feed because connections are invited to receive your newsletter.

Starting a newsletter on LinkedIn requires a commitment. Can you make one? This article may help you decide: https://linkedinforbusiness.net/create-newsletter-for-linkedin-network/

2.??Content

Posting to LinkedIn builds awareness, credibility & trust when done correctly. It should position your expertise, industry knowledge, and thought-leadership. What it shouldn’t do is look like an advertisement, you should use the advertising platform for that.

So what should you post? Topics that align with what you are known for, passionate about, and an expert on. For example, I post about relationship building, personal branding, human connection, and content marketing strategy. These topics align with my expertise as a LinkedIn Strategist, Coach & Trainer.

Post a minimum of once per week, ideally twice, and really get noticed – three times a week.

3.??Consistency

Why does consistency matter?? Because LinkedIn favors those who show up, those who log in daily, post and comment on other people’s posts. Did you know that when you comment on other people’s posts that activity will elevate your own posts so more people see them?

Consistency keeps you top of mind with those you want to influence vs those who are more random. Lastly, in my opinion, consistency shows commitment and people want to do business with those whom they see often, who post content that is interesting & helpful and simply show up.

The 3 C’s practice has kept my name in front of past clients which results in consistent referrals. It also has increased return business from past clients. My network with whom I nurture reciprocates by engaging with my content and that improves the reach of my posts!

My weekly letter continues to grow, JoAnne, and more by others sharing than my actively hawking it. It's more than just posting platitudes with a photo, it's about the content, and I might not be as popular as some others, but I'm not them, so I don't try to be.

Great advice JoAnne Funch! I think the challenge is the consistency! I have been thinking of sharing content, however, I feel I need to be ready to post consistently! Any thoughts on how to stay consistent?
