The most important stage in an employee's tenure is without a doubt the first 90 days.?
This onboarding period is crucial to be structured and smooth for the new employee.
Onboarding processes should be customized and detailed for different organizations, but here are 3 baseline strategies that every organization should follow:
Preboarding
Before the new employee begins, you can increase their chances of success, and boost their excitement by sharing with them important information and granting them access to resources. When a new employee is prepared with the right information and resources by the first day, the rest of the process falls into place.
Creating clarity
Define clear expectations and goals for the new employee from the beginning. When they have a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities, they quickly begin to contribute to the organization's success.
Create a Culture of Improvement
Highlight your company's commitment to learning and development. Offer training programs, mentorship opportunities, and educational resources to support new employees' growth and skill development. Doing this makes new employees consider long-term growth and the potential of themselves and the organization.
