An app is an app, but what differentiates Linkedin is the people- professional, positive, growth-oriented and well-connected.
So for our first edition of Out The Mud, we’re gonna explore what makes a personal brand really great and how we can stand out amongst the other 1 billion LinkedIn users on the platform.
STEP ONE: Create Bingeable Content
Crafting content our target audience will want to binge doesn’t rely on just one factor. This is why it can take some time to really master our own messaging.?
We’ve all been told to prioritize quality over quantity, stay consistent, and provide value, so that’s not what I’m about to tell you.
Bingeable content makes the reader FEEL something.?
In a world that encourages we run on an emotionless autopilot, content that sparks emotion is like a drug.
We strengthen the trust with our audience when we share our mistakes, struggles and authentic emotions; when we learn and grow in public.?
Our personal truths and stories are what showcase who we are, which is ultimately what drives “Scroller Behavior.” People want to know us. The educational problem-solution type content just isn’t gonna cut it anymore.
It might feel scary or questionable to post more freely and that's exactly why we must.?
STEP TWO: Become The Go-To Person For Something Very Specific
It's not enough to be a Coach for female executives or a Financial Advisor for business owners. For something (or someone) to disrupt the market, it needs to be perceived as rare and valuable.?
How do you help your clients transform in a way that none of your competitors are doing? What’s a certain perspective or methodology you hold that isn’t shared by most experts in your field? What about your experiences makes you uniquely qualified to do this?
The more unconventional and unique your approach, the more ground-breaking it will be.?
You stop seeing others in your niche as competition when you realize YOU are the niche. Figuring out how to position yourself as the Go-To Gal or Guy for something is way easier when nobody does it like you.

STEP THREE: Exchange of Info
Let’s be really honest here for a second- the personal brands we admire aren’t doing it for kicks and giggles.
They are generating some serious cash flow by driving the traffic on their page to their linked offers.
A LinkedIn Newsletter or an eBook can be leveraged in exchange for readers’ contact info- this is where the magic of conversion happens. Once inside your ecosystem, potential clients will be funneled through email marketing that will expose them to your value & world of offers.?
This genius strategy is how the top personal brands turn thousands of followers into paying clients on autopilot.
LinkedIn is a positive, professional playground for those who commit to walking with their fear and sharing their power with the world.
