The 3 Squares For Focusing Your Business!

If you are newer to me, you might not know about the 3 Squares... functionally I have a?free worksheet?that I use in my business when I am deciding what to do...

You can do this with a piece of paper too... just draw three squares in a row?(this is the easy part!)

For the last year and a half my three squares were:

But upon reflection about the amount of money I want to make, Youtube wasn't cutting it (even after 18 months of effort) and I really wanted to add something new in... but something has to give.

As entrepreneurs we all want to have to new and fun things to do... whoo whoo! What I learned from teaching the three squares in person for years is that having 6 or 7 major business focuses is the hill many entrepreneurs will die on...?(there were tears from grown women who were told they couldn't do 6 or 7 things at a time well!)

At this point in time there has to be one more criteria for me starting something new... will I like ALL of it. For example, I COULD do coaching, I like talking to people an hour at a time... but I hate scheduling people and following up on leads. I COULD sell my art printed in frames through the mail, but I have had enough of mailing things with my past vintage Etsy store.

So here is my new three squares... I am starting a POD (Print on demand) Etsy store to sell my artwork on different items like journals, mugs, etc.

So how did I just "get rid of" Youtube after spending a year and half working on it. I didn't! First off, I can film making my new art for my store... whoo whoo.

AND I took my video quota from 3 a week to 2 a week. That immediately reduced the amount of time I need to spend editing and posting by a 1/3... YAY! Oh, and if something gets bumped off my to do list, it will be videos.

Something had to give and for me it was videos! Oh, and Instagram and TikTok... they are cute, but they don't pay the bills! I may do some Instagram to display my art, but all the other social media is a waste of time (for me). FOCUS!

So now you... what are your 3 squares? The three main focuses of your business?

If you have more than 3 you do have the option of picking 3 for this month or quarter, but I guarantee that once you figure out how to focus on just a few things, you will be so much happier in your business!
