3 Spring Cleaning Ideas — for Your Business

It’s springtime in the Pacific Northwest and besides the pollen it’s a great time to live here! Blue skies, warmer temperatures, and flowers are in bloom. Now it’s time for spring cleaning… for our business. We made it through Q1 and as we figure out what we want to get done by the half year point of 2024, it’s time to reevaluate and maybe change some things up. Here’s my 3 Spring Cleaning Ideas — for your business.

1. Review Your Tasks

What’s working in your business? Do you have weekly tasks that may need to be adjusted? Do you have something on your to do list that has been pushed from week to week (to week to week)? Maybe it’s time to evaluate tasks and make sure that they’re helping you move your business forward. If you’re stuck on a task and know it will help you grow your business, reach out to someone who can help (or respond to this email and we’ll figure out the right person to help you!)

2. Check in With Your Clients

Depending on the life cycle of your clients it might be time to make sure that your work and goals are still heading in the right direction. Is it time to wrap up a project and thank them for the work together? Is it time to move to the next phase? I have some scheduling changes coming later this year and recently checked in with clients to make sure we are still heading in the same direction for 2024. Fun fact! Clients appreciate that you’re thinking and planning with them in mind!

3. Clean Off Your Desk (files/inbox/etc.)

It’s not a fun task, but it might be time to clean off your desk and file/recycle things where they belong. Power through that stack that’s been making you anxious. I promise it’ll take less time than you think. And the same goes for your inbox. Respond to that email that’s been on the bottom of the list for over a month now. If it’s no longer needed, enjoy the satisfaction of hitting delete.

What tasks or activities do you need to consider spring cleaning? Do you need to talk to someone about getting help with it? Block some time this week to get this off your to do list. Maybe even give yourself a little reward when you finish!
