Amazing CEO accelerates CEOs and Key Executives to gain freedom by launching and growing businesses. If you would freedom of your time, money and location, then you need to get OUT of your mind and into action. You need to hold yourself accountable and structure discipline into your days to get your work done efficiently.

If you are just starting a new business, then you are likely overwhelmed by all of the tasks you need to do. Maybe, you aren’t even aware of everything you need to setup yet. I know this can make you feel like David to Goliath, but the only way to get going is to step one foot in front of the other.

Every business needs to have a steady and robust acquisition, conversion and deliverables. P.T. Barnum, founder of the Barnum & Bailey Circus, once said: “Money is a terrible master, but an excellent servant.” You need to improve your productivity to ensure the customer journey through each stage is satisfied to keep growing your business. Make your money work for you.

Learn to focus on the right tasks that produce greater results, instead of wasting time on unimportant tasks that produce little value. To get started, here are three smart strategies to help you improve productivity:

  1. Prioritize your top three tasks. The night before, review your to-do list. Pick your top three most important tasks. Write them down. Review these top three tasks in the morning, and spend your day focusing on them until they are completed. If something comes up during the day that isn’t in the top three, don’t start working on it until another day.
  2. Batch your work. Work in increments of 3-4 hours. You are more likely to complete a task by finishing it in the same setting, and you will remember the content better. Practice to focus on this one task during this allotted slot. Over time, your productivity will improve by completing tasks in blocks instead of multi-tasking and never quite finishing anything.
  3. Check emails twice a day. Don’t start your day by reacting to everyone else’s emergencies. Start your day by completing the most important task before 11 AM, then check your emails. Keep batching your work until 4PM when you can check your emails again. If you check your emails all day long, you will never have the focus to finish your most important tasks.

Try following these tips for one day, one week, then one month. Track the progress of your productivity, and let me know how your work has improved in the comments below. For more business advice, please follow me on LinkedIn here.
